A brief description on Gnaoua festival in Essaouira :
 
The festival of Gnaoua takes a place each June of the year in Essaouira ( 26-29 ).It is the celebration of the music of the descendants of black African slaves from Sudan, Ghana, Senegal, Mali who were taken to Morocco centuries ago.The Festival is elso a point meeting of the world best Jazz, Pop and Rock players .

22 June : Marrakech - Dades Gorges
Depart to Dades Gorges over the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi N'tichka Pass.On the side of the mountains you will see  traditional Berber villages and green farms .Continue via Ouarzazate the capital of cinema in Morocco.Through the Road of Thousand-Kasbah you will travel on an off-road in which you have the chance to appreciate the tranquility of the mountains populated by Berber nomads, you will explore a new sence of daily life.Arrive the impressive Gorges of Dades and check into hotel.
 
23 June : Dades Gorges - Merzouga
After breakfast,driver to the Sahara Desert through one of the dramatic sights of Morocco,Todra Gorges its an ideal place for walking and exploring in your own.Set off to the Sahara Desert, where Morocco's unique dunes.Its here that you will start a camel trip into the middle of the dunes for an overnight camp.
 
24 June : Merzouga - Zagora
You will wake up early to see the beautiful sunrise over the dunes and for sand climbs.Have your breakfast before driving little further to Ouarzazate through Rissani one of the oldest cities in Morocco, and the capital of density Alaouit,this spot was centuries ago a very busy commercial trade centre sun-sahararan African and to the North.Continue through the beautiful Draa valley. Keep your eyes open for old Kasbahs and fortified villages.In the evening arrive zagora the heart of the oasis.
 
25 June : Zagora - Taroudante
After breakfast you will drive to Taroudante through the typical village of  Agdz,the Bouazar mines,Taznakhte and Talouine the capital of Safran of Morocco.Arrive Taroudante or as it called " the little Marrakech''. Check into the hotel.
26 June : Taroudante - Essaouira
Direction Essaouira via Agadir with its magnificent view showing the city and the beach.Continue to Essaouira through the Atlantic Coast. Arrive Essaouira and check into the hotel.
 
27 June : Essaouira - Essaouira
The whole day is devoted to enjoy the annual Gnaoua festival.Take the Advantage of this day to explore the town of Essaouira,visit the Portuguese Port,Harbour,the old Medina,the Kechla and the Taros.The charms of the town are revealed by a visit to the souks, with their wild mixture of spices.If you are a fish enthusiast, you cannot miss the food in the market.Check inot the hotel.
 
28 June : Essaouira - Marrakech
Drive back to Marrakech.The rest of the day is explore on your own the old Medina and its colourful souks .
